Join The Relaxed Yoga Community

Find it difficult to stand on 1 foot while putting on your socks? Then it might be time to strengthen your core and practice your balance within our relaxed yoga community here at Jillian‘s Healing Arts Center.

Tripping over unseen objects, hurting your back by moving kitty litter, and/or even feeling exhausted the next day after entertaining friends is a sign that your energy and smart body are not quite aligned.

Tripping over unseen objects, hurting your back by moving kitty litter, and/or even feeling exhausted the next day after entertaining friends is a sign that your energy and smart body are not quite aligned.

This imbalance between the mind and body is prevalent today due to computers, TV, and even your phone. All your energy stays up in your head, thinking about the next text message, email, or lesson plan. That’s why you notice bruises on your leg and have no idea how they got there. There is a disconnect between you and your body.

Yoga is just one of the holistic modalities that we offer here at Jillian‘s Healing Arts Center that allows you to reconnect the mind and body. This way your energy flows more evenly throughout the entire body. Making you more aware of your hips, ankles, and even your pinky toe. We call this embodiment. It is crucial for you to be truly embodied and aware of the present moment to live a happy life.

To practice Yoga and become truly aware of your entire body, it’s easy as pie. Yoga is for all people all places, and in all ways.

Yoga is in ancient healing practice that has been marketed very well over the last few years. A lot of times you see a perfect supermodel standing on the beach in a king dancer pose. Or someone flipped up on their head and twisted like a pretzel. This yoga is beautiful, but we find here at Jillian‘s Healing Arts Center. It is not realistic.

Social media images create the thought that yoga is a super serious exercise/meditation regiment that can only be practiced by those who have rubber bands for joints. But in fact at Jillian‘s Healing Arts Center, our yoga classes are more about the community, the laughter, and the fun.

Yoga is a practice that is not to be perfected. We strive to make our classes available for all bodies: with modifications and a light hearted spirit; so we all perfect the practice of having fun.

There is not just one flavor of vegan ice cream for every person…… Therefore there is not just one style of yoga class that fits all bodies. That is why we offer a variety of yoga classes and teachers for you to try and see which fits your personality, sense of humor, and Movement practice.

You probably have heard all about the health benefits of yoga…and they are absolutely true.

Yoga:

🌺Brings a balance to the mind, body connection, allowing you to stand on 1 foot and brush your teeth at the same time.
🌺Strengthens the core, making it easy to move heavy groceries in from the car.
🌺Gives you a sense of peace and well-being in gratitude, which are the highest vibrational frequencies on the earth that promotes healing and happiness.
🌺Offers somatic stretching that brings you into the present moment and relaxes the nervous system, giving you a sense of hope.
🌺Strengthen the arms and legs making it easy to go on hikes with friends.
🌺Improves sleep, so your rest is more effective and less interrupted.
🌺Offers a surge of dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin, which are hormones that decrease depression, inflammation, and brain fog.
🌺Improves digestion, Lymph flow, and  even reduces headaches and muscle tension.

The list goes on and on…

But what we are most proud of here at Jillian‘s Healing Arts Center is the camaraderie and sense of supportive community you receive when just walking in the door and trying your first class.
